Discovering Mt. Rinjani 4 days 3 Nights programme can be prepare to start from Senaru Village or SembalunLawang trek point, though this will exploring extra time to be in the crater lake, hot spring and caves that contains hot spring water like natural spa. This gentle trek is also recommended to those have non experience or climbing skills since our guide and team also carrying attention on the group to give the best convenience for more memorable adventure.

Senggigi – Senaru – Crater Rim – Overnight at campsite
Pick up at 05.30 am in your hotel and transfer to the trek point at Senaru Village (601m) about 2 hours drive from Senggigi area, registration at Rinjani Trek Centre (RTC). Meet your mountain Guide and porters than start the trek through thick tropical forest rich in flora, bird life and variety of butterflies. Rest stops are taken along the way. Lunch served en route at Pos 2 MontongSatas shelter (1,500m). After lunch continue walk up another 2 hours to pos 3 MondokonLolak (2,000m), take some rest here than on to another couple of hours through grassy meadows to Plawangan 1 Senaru/ Senaru crater rim at 2,641m. Reach the crater rim around 5pm, enjoy the views across the lake SegaraAnak to the summit of Mt. Rinjani and crater GunungBaruJari (2,351m), an active volcano. On a clear evening the Gili Isles, Bali and Mt. Agung can be seen to the west. Reach the Crater rim around 4 or 5 pm, set up the tent and enjoy the views around. Dinner served at the campsite.
Crater Rim – SegaraAnak Lake – Overnight at campsite
After breakfast leave the Crater rim camp site to the lake SegaraAnak (2,000 m). It take 2 -3 hours trek down through rocky and steep trek trail. A lot of Edelweiss plants (Eternal Flower or local common called BungaAbadi) along the trek to the crater’s lake. The trek route in this point is steep and rocky, your guide and porters will assist and give you extra attention. The rest of the day is spent relaxing, swimming in the lake and exploring the caves and pilgrimage hot springs, believed to have
healing powers. Camp and overnight by the lake
SegaraAnak Lake – Sembalun Crater Rim – Overnight at campsite
After lunch leave the lake trek up to PlawanganSembalun (Sembalun Crater rim 2639m). The trek route in this point is also steep and rocky, your guide and porters will assist and give you extra attention. Reach the crater rim around 5 pm, rest and prepare yourself for an early morning three hours hard climb to the summit (3,726 m). Dinner – Camp (Stay overnight) at PlawanganSembalun.
Crater Rim – Rinjani Summit- Sembalun Village – Senggigi/Airport
Wake up early morning and start the trek at 03:00 AM to the summit (3,726 m), a hard trek trail on volcanic screens, some part are steep and loose sand. It takes around 3 hours to reach the summit. Once there, enjoy proud feelings of satisfaction and the amazing sunrise views across the Wallace Line to Bali, Mt. Agung and Sumbawa. Stay at the summit 30 minutes to 1 hour to enjoy the views around and than going down to the campsite Sembalun crater rim through same route. Rest and breakfast at the campsite, after a well prepared breakfast, with the gentle descent walking to Sembalun Village passing Pos 3 PadaBalong (1,800 m), Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m) and Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300). Lunch served en route. After about 6 – 7 hours trek down from Sembalun Crater rim, the trek ends at Rinjani Information Center at the road head in SembalunLawang, where the car is waiting to transfer you to the airport or Senggigi. End of program.
